All systems go: Mission Assurance Engineer, Morris Vanegas, MS ‘08, was on the console for SpaceX’s Dragon launch, its second commercial resupply mission to the International Space Station. He will take a break from the action this fall when he returns to M.I.T. to earn his master’s in Astrophysics / Aeronautics.
Stanford freshman Yihwan Kim, MS ‘09, will participate in the 2010 Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) conference at Harvard this February. He will be taking part in workshops and panels focusing on the humanitarian and security situation in North Korea.
Helping Hands. In January, Nathan Williams, MS ’14, deployed as part of a contingent of Team Rubicon volunteers to clean up flood and landslide damage in Aberdeen, Washington. Afterward, Nathan was asked to share his thoughts about his experience working with some of the dedicated veterans who are using their expertise and experience as disaster relief first-responders around the world.
