Leveraging her role as VP, Associate General Counsel for Viacom Media Networks and BET Networks, Khadijah is working to reduce misogyny, promote diversity, and highlight people of color to inspire the next generation. Her accomplishments were highlighted in Columbia's College Today Alumni Newsletter.
Justine Almada, MS '01, became the inaugural recipient of the Biden Cancer Initiative FIERCE award for Leadership through Exemplary and Awesome Purpose (a.k.a. the Joe Biden Cancer Award) along with her brother Tristan and her sister Camille. The Almadas are co-founders of The HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation. They were selected from a pool of 700 individuals and organizations for their efforts in changing the landscape for HPV and anal cancer.
Diego Rentería, MS ‘07 was the recipient of the Judith McManus Price Scholarship from the APA Foundation. The Scholarship is awarded to students that are enrolled in an approved Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) planning program and intend to pursue careers as practicing planners in the public sector.
