Biography

Shirin is a medical student at UC Irvine School of Medicine and hopes to build a meaningful career at the intersection of medicine, technology, and community health. Prior to pursuing her medical degree, Shirin was a software engineer at a health insurance startup called SimplyInsured in San Francisco and at Microsoft. Shirin graduated in 2017 from Stanford University with a degree in computer science. At Stanford, Shirin was a computer science teaching assistant and enjoyed solving challenging problems in the healthcare technology space, such as working on a surgical simulator.
