Ruben Anguiano

Urban Planning

Biography

Ruben Anguiano is a senior at Stanford University pursuing a bachelor's degree in urban studies and a master's degree in sociology. Currently, he is a research assistant for the Changing Cities Research Lab at Stanford, focusing on neighborhood change and residential instability. In the summer of 2020, he was a Policy Academy Fellow, doing research on secondary housing types and their impact on the affordable housing market. In the fall of 2019, he interned as a neighborhood planning intern with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development. In the summer of 2019, he interned with Causa Justa :: Just Cause, a grassroots organization helping working-class communities of color in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ruben is an aspiring urban planner, passionate about working towards equitable, inclusive, and sustainable neighborhoods through community empowerment and participatory planning.
