Happenings: Clarence is a rising senior at the CCNY Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, where he is pursuing the eight year medical degree track. He was elected the freshman class representative and was re-elected the sophomore class representative. He is a certified EMT and patrols with the NYPD as an Auxiliary Officer. This summer he will be completing the fire academy program and will be a volunteer fire fighter with the Nassau County Fire Academy.

Scholars in Action
  • Great Honors! Sophie Davis Biomedical School of Education medical student, Clarence Kong, MS ‘14, is one of two recipients of the NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer Eugene Marshalik Scholarship, a 4-year C.U.N.Y. scholarship given every year to NYPD Auxiliary Officers in honor of the memories of Nicholas Pekearo and Eugene Marshalik, Auxiliary Officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2007.

  • You have the right to remain excited. Sophie Davis sophomore class representative, Clarence Kong, MS ‘14, is also the 2015 New York City Police Department Auxiliary Police Force class Valedictorian. The NYPD auxiliary is a trained and equipped civilian, all-volunteer group that assists their local police precincts throughout the city. Congratulations!

  • Making an Immediate Impact.  While balancing heavy course loads, Clarence Kong, MS ’14, and William Oh, MS ’14, were elected to their respective school’s student governments during their first semesters.  Clarence became the freshman Class Representative for the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Engineering and William joined became the representative in the Harvard Undergraduate Council. Congratulations!
