Jiyoun Roh

Biography

Jiyoun Roh, a graduate of Crescenta Valley High School, is an AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Commended Scholar, and National Spotlight Red Cross Field Ambassador. She is a 3-time recipient of the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award. She placed 4th in the California State Science and Engineering Fair, 2nd in the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair, and was selected as a SoCal BioGENEius scholar. She was President of Service of Air Force Junior ROTC, a cellist for the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, and researcher at City of Hope Roberts Academy. Jiyoun is studying molecular biology at Princeton University and is heavily involved in service and science research. Within the past year, she serves as an inaugural officer of a nonprofit called Asian Americans with Disabilities Initiative, which aims to uplift disabled Asian-American voices.
