Favour Akingbemi

Biography

Favour Akingbemi, valedictorian at George Washington High School, is an AP Scholar with Distinction, Jordan Wings Scholar, alumna of the Telluride Association Seminar, and recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship. She served as her school’s Student Government President and was a member of the LAUSD Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council to become involved in policy-making for her school district. She organized school campaigns to increase awareness on domestic violence, teen dating violence and sexual violence. Favour will attend Yale to study political science.
