Biography
Smith Sirisakorn is the Managing Director of Net Good Solutions, a consulting practice that advises campaigns, government agencies, and workforce organizations on how to maximize the societal benefits of AI. His background in law, business operations, and finance gives him a wider lens on governance than any single discipline provides: he has run franchise businesses, negotiated labor contracts, and built investment portfolios, and that range informs how he approaches public policy.
Smith entered the caregiving workforce as an IHSS provider for his late mother, an experience that led him to UDW/AFSCME Local 3930, one of California’s largest workforce organizations representing home care and child care providers, where he rose to Chief of Staff. In that role he led executive operations including bargaining, political strategy, and public-private partnerships.
He holds an elected seat in California statewide party governance and currently consults on political campaigns.
Smith serves on the board of the San Diego Leadership Alliance and has served on the City of San Diego Consolidated Plan Advisory Board and the San Diego County Aging and Independence Services Advisory Council. He is a Milken Scholar and a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Scholar. He also founded and led Fairthorne Ventures across real estate, software, franchising, and hospitality.
Smith has advised and supported development for UCSD’s research initiatives and maintains an endowment fund at Thammasat University in Thailand honoring his parents. He is a past World Series of Poker bracelet winner. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor and Master of Intellectual Property, Commerce, and Technology from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law. Smith lives in Mountain View, California with his wife and two children.
