Biography

Shilpa Bhongir is a recent graduate of a masters in Education Leadership, Organizations and Entrepreneurship from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to HGSE, Shilpa was the Director of College Programs at Rivet School, a nonprofit reimagining the college experience for working adults through a flexible and affordable program. Shilpa is passionate about holistic and integrated student supports specifically for first-generation and nontraditional students, as well as the intersection of economic security and education equity.

Entrepreneurial Spirit: Congratulations to Shilpa Bhongir, MS ‘12, who was recently elected co-coordinator of Occidental College’s student-run community outreach organization, Oxypreneurship. Among the many projects they will be working on is helping to organize Occidental’s first TEDx event in March.
