Nicole Schreiber is a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania studying economics and minoring in music and consumer psychology at The Wharton School. During the summer before her first year at Penn, Nicole interned for Beach Point Capital, a credit-focused hedge fund in Santa Monica. Nicole returned to Beach Point Capital at their London office during the summer after her freshman year to work on credit transactions. After her sophomore year, Nicole interned for Causeway Capital on their quantitative team as a summer research analyst. Nicole conducted quantitative research and stock screenings by working with several datasets in SQL and Python to inform Causeway’s commitment and approach to ESG.
During the summer of 2021, Nicole is living in New York City and participating in many remote projects that align with the skillsets she’s learned at Penn and at former job experiences: Nicole recently helped launch the start-up, Collmark, a college reparatory service that connects prospective college students with undergraduate students at the universities they hope to attend. Nicole is working with fellow Milken Scholar, Ali Kriegsman, to produce social media content for her book, How to Build a Goddamn Empire. Nicole works under the direction of Jonah Berger, an international bestselling author, within his consumer behavior team in The Wharton School’s Marketing Department.
Nicole’s work-study role this summer is working with the Stuart Weitzman School of Design’s Office of Alumni Relations to conduct various tasks regarding alumni relations, fundraising, and career services. Nicole is also exploring corporate finance by participating in the Goldman Sachs Virtual Insight Series this summer. At Penn, Nicole is a proud member of Chi Omega. In her free time, Nicole enjoys meditating on the Headspace app, training for the half-marathon, learning kickboxing, Citi biking, and planning her next adventure with friends. She’s also running a small colored sunglasses Depop shop, Hearts of Cherry, with her 16-year old sister.
After taking on roles ranging from researcher, financial analyst, quantitative researcher and marketing lead, Nicole loves understanding all aspects of a company’s operations. She also loved developing cultural intelligence after working abroad in London. For this reason, Nicole’s dream career would be one in Private Equity at a global firm.
