Biography
Eileen Ung is an underwriter with Charles Schwab Bank’s Community Development Group.
Prior to joining Schwab, Eileen was a member of Calvert Impact’s investments team, where she focused on expanding access to capital in historically disenfranchised communities—lending to affordable housing developers and CDFIs, as well as designing investment vehicles that enable community-facing intermediaries to engage with broader capital markets.
Her earlier experience in impact investing includes freelance and internship engagements spanning investment sourcing, due diligence, impact measurement, fund design and modeling, and business development. Before pursuing her MBA, Eileen deployed corporate credit solutions for government, higher education, nonprofit, and financial institution clients at MUFG.
Eileen holds a BS from Stanford University and an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas. Born and raised in Long Beach as the daughter of Cambodian refugees, she has deep roots in Southern California and is committed to advancing participatory approaches in philanthropy and community development finance.
