Angelina Calderón

Biography

Angelina is currently the Vice President of Outreach and Engagement at Bright Star Schools, a network of high-performing, charter public schools across Los Angeles. She is an alumna from Yale University, the University of Saint Thomas and the Houston Teach for America corps. Both inside the classroom and out, her work focused on social justice and cultural identity. As an educator with over 10 years of experience in instruction, family engagement and outreach to new families, she knows that working with families is the key to boosting student achievement. Outside of work, Angelina is a loving aunt to five wonderful children and enjoys dancing, solving puzzles and traveling to new adventures.
