Angelina Calderón

Education Management


Angelina has been an Educator for 10 years as a Bilingual Teacher, Parent Liaison and Director of Family Engagement. She joined Teach for America in 2010 because she realized that access to education along with her family’s unwavering support changed her life trajectory. While teaching full time, she earned a Masters of Education in Teacher Leadership at the University of Saint Thomas. Her experience taught her that working with families is the key to boosting student achievement. Since 2015 she has been working at Bright Star Schools where she has led the transformation of Family Engagement and now leads the Enrollment team in recruiting and welcoming new families. Bright Star Schools, a network of high-performing, charter public schools across Los Angeles, serves over 3,500 students.
