Entrepreneurship
Biography
Ali Kriegsman is an exited technology entrepreneur, marketing consultant, writer and author based in Brooklyn. Kriegsman's company, Bulletin, sold in 2022 for eight figures to Emerald [NYSE: EEX] She's consulted for other businesses and entrepreneurs ever since, helping raise close to twenty-million total in venture capital, and helping close six-figure sponsorship deals. Her first book, How to Build a Goddamn Empire, was published to acclaim by Abrams in 2021 and follows her experience launching, pivoting, and scaling the technology company she started at only twenty-four years old. The Information called it one of "Tech's Most Powerful Stories Written By Women," and it received a dedicated segment on The Today Show. A recipient of "Forbes 30 Under 30" (but not the criminal kind - yet) and named one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business," Ali's work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Beauty Independent, Business of Fashion, and more. Through her weekly Substack, New Motives, Kriegsman explores the themes she’s obsessed with: ambition, business, internet culture and the personal, and often how they all intersect. Some of her viral pieces include, “Women Hate Women Who Go For What They Want,” “The Modern Girl Is Crippled By Aspiration, I’m One of Them,” and “Why Do We Idolize People Who Move in Silence?” Readers and reviewers have called her debut novel The Raise, about a mysterious founder’s death at Burning Man, a “sizzling” and “psychologically rich” thriller, with many Goodreads reviewers sharing they binged the book in a mere 48 hours and could not - for the life of them - put it down. The book was featured by Reese’s Book Club and named one of the best books of fall 2025 by Bustle.
