Nominations are open for the Class of 2018.

Milken Scholars Program is open for Nominations for the Class of 2018!

We will launch our 2018 Selections Process in Washington D.C., New York City, and Los Angeles County on Monday, October 23, 2017; reaching out to public, private, and parochial high schools.

Every year we are honored to receive hundreds of nominations on behalf of very accomplished young leaders, and we expect this year to be no different.

We look forward to hearing from college advisors, counselors and other educators and we can't thank them enough for their invaluable participation in helping us to identify and acknowledge deserving students of great character and diligence.

The Selections Process is not the only exciting development on the horizon.  This fall, the Milken Scholars Program will travel across the country for Scholar visits at over thirty schools.  We plan to personally touch base with over 100 Milken Scholars at their homes away from home. These visits are an opportunity for program directors and staff to meet with Scholars in groups and individually to offer support, advice or an empathetic ear.

We will hold group gatherings in New York, Cambridge, Philadelphia, Princeton, Palo Alto, Berkeley, and Claremont, and take Scholar-guided tours of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and many other campuses across the country.

These visits also provide Scholars a chance to maintain contact and support each other, strengthening the active mentorship provided by assigned Milken Scholar mentors all year long.

During many of these visits, Alumni Milken Scholars take a break from graduate school or their jobs to enjoy the company of Scholars in the midst of their undergraduate careers.  As with all aspects of their involvement, the opportunity they provide to share and listen as peers adds a wonderful element to our get-togethers.

School counselors, college advisors, and other educators from high schools in Los Angeles County, New York City, and Washington D.C., are invited to recommend some of their outstanding graduating seniors who would benefit from joining a network of some of the most talented young leaders in the country.

We are looking forward to reviewing their applications despite knowing that the task of selecting the Milken Scholars Class of 2018 is an extremely difficult one. Whatever the outcome, when the school year starts next fall, these extraordinary students will be poised for success.

For those who are invited to join the program, Milken Scholars will be standing alongside them, ready to go back to school. It is all part of the journey to become Lifelong Leaders for a Better World. Nomination period ends on Friday, December 8, 2017.
