Milken Alumni Scholars participate in the Milken Institute 2023 Global Conference.

A group of 24 Milken Alumni Scholars attended this year’s Global Conference held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles from April 30- May 3, 2023.  Participants spanning Program Alumni years from 1989 to 2019 (which includes our newest Alumni year), traveled to Los Angeles for an exciting experience which many confirmed to be as impactful for their professional as well as their personal goals.  This year the Milken Scholars Program was invited to host a private session titled, The Power of Philanthropy: Creating Lasting Change by Investing in Next Generation Leaders.  Milken Scholar Alumni, Jenny Tsang-Quinn, from the Class of 1989, along with Evelyn Torres, Director, Milken Scholars Program were featured speakers on the panel.

This year’s theme, “Advancing a Thriving World” presented Alumni Scholars with the opportunity to attend and contribute to sessions on topics of financial literacy, energy and the environment, the future of AI, space exploration and the role of philanthropy, amongst others.  The opportunity to network with leaders from every industry was a highlight.  Attending the Milken Institute Global Conference is a life-changing experience.  You can read more of our Scholar Reflections here as we encourage Alumni to consider one-of-a-kind future opportunities such as these as you navigate through your professional career.
