Biography
William is currently a rising second-year student at Columbia Law School. He is passionate about working at the intersection of economic justice, immigrant justice, and decarceration, and is deeply committed to working towards a larger vision of abolition and full citizenship for all. During this past summer, he worked in the Civil Legal Services Division of the Public Defender Service of DC, and is excited to be a part of the Criminal Defense Clinic and the Jailhouse Lawyer's Manual on campus.
William graduated in 2018 from Harvard with a degree in Social Anthropology and a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights, and before law school, worked as the lead Youth Organizer with the HANA Center in Chicago where he organized alongside young people for immigrant justice. Through his work, William hopes to be part of a compassionate social justice that heals and restores.
