William graduated from Harvard with a degree in Social Anthropology and a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. During his time at Harvard, he was deeply involved in equity, inclusion, & belonging work, served as a program marshal on the Senior Class Committee, and conducted research as part of the Mellon Mays Fellowship. He also served as a hotline counselor for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. After graduation, he returned to his Midwestern roots and worked as the lead Youth Organizer with the HANA Center in Chicago. Through his work, William hopes to be part of a compassionate social justice that heals and restores. In 2021, he will matriculate at Columbia Law School where he hopes to pursue public defense and do work along the way to help create infrastructures of care in lieu of prisons and policing.
