William Colón

Biography

William Colón is a medical device executive and marketing leader with over two decades of experience launching disruptive therapy and diagnostic platforms and accelerating market development with Fortune 500 and start-up medical device companies. He is passionate about leveraging technology and therapeutic innovations to impact patient lives and empowering those around him to do the same. As the commercial leader for Medtronic's start-up Diagnostics business unit, he grew revenue to $650M over 5 years (54% CAGR) through globalization of disruptive technology and indication expansion. More recently, William provided market development and strategic planning expertise to focus corporate and commercial initiatives to drive short and long-term revenue growth for Nuwellis, an emerging medtech company.

William combines thoughtful, people-first leadership with a relentless desire to execute for success. A well-traveled professional, he is culturally agile and has fostered strong relationships around the world. When not at work, William enjoys coaching his children in sports, being outdoors, cooking, and photography.

William graduated with a BSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds an MBA in Marketing and Corporate Strategy from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
