Selena Reyes-Flores

Biography

Selena Reyes-Flores is a junior at Yale majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry with a certificate in Statistics & Data Science. She serves as a Patient Services Director at the Haven Free Clinic, coordinating care for uninsured individuals in the Greater New Haven area, and conducts research at the Kabeche Lab to understand DDR defects and improve cancer therapies. On campus, she works as a Peer Mentor with the OEO, helping first-generation and STEM students navigate college life. As vice president of Latina Women at Yale and secretary of Ballet Folklórico Mexicano, she enjoys planning events and performing to celebrate her culture on campus. She hopes to become a physician who draws on her research and community health experience to serve underserved populations.
