Ruben Anguiano

Biography
Ruben Anguiano graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in urban studies and a master's degree in sociology. Currently, Ruben is an Associate Project Manager at MidPen Housing Corporation. Prior, Ruben worked as a Housing Analyst at the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority and a Predoctoral Research Fellow at NYU Furman Center. He was also a research assistant for the Changing Cities Research Lab at Stanford, focusing on neighborhood change and residential instability. In the summer of 2020, he was a Policy Academy Fellow, doing research on secondary housing types and their impact on the affordable housing market. In the fall of 2019, he interned as a neighborhood planning intern with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development. In the summer of 2019, he interned with Causa Justa :: Just Cause, a grassroots organization helping working-class communities of color in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ruben is an aspiring urban planner, passionate about working towards equitable, inclusive, and sustainable neighborhoods through community empowerment and participatory planning.
