Michael Terry

Entrepreneurship

Biography

Mike is a Brooklyn-based software entrepreneur and Founder of SubWire.io. SubWire is a technology platform for event organizers and performers to collect and distribute high quality video in collaboration with fans and mobile cameras. The technology was selected over YouTube and Twitch to power the multi-camera live broadcast of several entertainment legends and GRAMMY winners (De La Soul, Ill Camille, Nappy Roots, Hannibal Buress) and the NYC Buskerball.

Prior to SubWire, Mike created LAWFTY which has grown to become one of the world's largest AI-powered digital advertising platforms for the legal sector. LAWFTY uses machine learning to connect people seeking legal help with a select group of specialized and regional attorneys and 24/7 tech-enabled support staff. In 2018, LAWFTY's engineering team and IP was acquired by Airbnb, and the business has subsequently grown to exceed $23M in annual revenues.

Prior to startups, Mike started his engineering career developing systems and signal processing algorithms at SGI, Institute for Defense Analyses, and Raytheon Company.

He is a proud father of two, holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees from MIT's Computer Science and AI Lab, and is a lifelong supporter of inner-city music and sports programs.
