Entrepreneurship

Biography

Mike is a Brooklyn-based software entrepreneur and Founder of SubWire.io. SubWire is a technology platform for event organizers and sponsors to collect and distribute high quality video directly from the community of fans at an event. The technology was selected over YouTube and Twitch to power the multi-camera live broadcast of several entertainment legends and GRAMMY winners (De La Soul, Nappy Roots, Hannibal Buress) and the NYC Buskerball.

The platform recently supported the Prostate Cancer Foundation during the Home Run Challenge by giving fans an interactive way to snap selfies in support of the Keep Dad in the Game campaign.

Prior to SubWire, Mike created LAWFTY which has grown into one of the world's largest AI-powered advertising platforms for the legal industry. LAWFTY uses machine learning to connect people seeking legal help with a pre-vetted group of specialized and regional attorneys and 24/7 tech-enabled support staff. In 2018, LAWFTY's engineering team and IP was acquired by Airbnb, and the business has subsequently grown to exceed $23M in annual revenues.

Prior to startups, Mike started his engineering career developing systems and signal processing algorithms at SGI, Institute for Defense Analyses, and Raytheon Company.

He is a proud father of two, holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees from MIT's Computer Science and AI Lab, and is a lifelong supporter of inner-city youth music and sports programs.
