Melisa Santizo

Secondary Education

Biography

Melisa is a senior program assistant at the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. She graduated from Harvard where she studied History and Literature with a minor in Economics. She has worked at Calibrate, Boston Upward Bound and at Emerson College’s Engagement Lab where she helped design a two-week program for civically minded college students. She is an Americorps alum, having served a year with Minds Matter Los Angeles, a nonprofit organization who supports first-generation/low-income high school students with the support system and skills they need to thrive in institutions of higher education. In her free time, Melisa enjoys spending time with family, traveling, running and advocating for a more robust Metro transit system.
