Biography

Hi! My name is Mekdi Gebreslassie, and I’m a rising junior at Princeton University majoring in SPIA. I’m someone who loves creativity, storytelling, and building community in everything I do. On campus, I’m involved in student government, mentoring, journalism, and organizations that focus on culture, leadership, and inclusion. A lot of my work has centered around helping people feel seen and supported, whether that’s through mentoring students, translating for families, or creating content that connects with others. Outside of school, I love sewing, ceramics, fashion, and working with my hands.
