Max Straus

Biography

Max Straus is a rising second year at the University of Chicago studying mathematics. In his first year, Max has continued his goal of increasing financial literacy across high school students as a team captain of MoneyThink. He is also a part of the Financial Markets Program. As a graduate of Oakwood Secondary School, Max is a two-time state champion for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Invention Challenge. He acted as co-chair for his school’s Student Admissions Committee; co-founded the Tutor Together Discord server, serving 50K+ students and tutors; and co-founded the Applying Math Club to teach financial literacy.
