Camila Ceballos Paredes

Biography

Camila Ceballos Paredes is a rising senior at Columbia University studying Biology. During the school year, she conducts colorectal cancer research in the Cheng Lab at the Columbia Stem Cell Initiative to investigate the differences between left and right CRC using an organoid model. She participated in the Weill Cornell/Rockefeller/Sloan-Kettering Gateways to the Laboratory Summer Program where she interned at an MSKCC lab to research new potential therapies for prostate cancer. At Columbia, she is part of the Systems Biology Initiative where she leads the High School Workshops committee and volunteers as an ESOL instructor at Community Impact, teaching English to Spanish-speaking adults. During her free time, she loves crocheting, going to the movies, and exploring new restaurants in Queens.
