Lizi Maziashvili



Lizi Maziashvili is the valedictorian at Fort Hamilton High in Brooklyn. She is an AP Scholar with Honor and vice president of both the National Honor Society and Red Cross Club. Lizi founded the school’s first chapter of Girls Who Code and hosts “Hour of Code” events to promote interest in STEM fields. She represented her school on New York City’s New Visions Student Advisory, where she researched ways for teachers to talk about current events in the classroom. Lizi studied computer science, electrical engineering and math at MIT’s Women’s Technology Program. She will return to MIT next year to study biomedical engineering and plans a career in medicine.
