Biography

Leonardo Lopez, valedictorian of Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School, is an AP Scholar with Distinction and Gates Scholar Finalist. A Student Representative for the School Leadership Council and School Site Council, Leonardo was also President of the Weightlifting Club, winning 1st place at the USA Powerlifting Barbell Brigade Spring Challenge and qualifying for nationals. Alongside genetic counselors and NIH-funded researchers at USC, Leonardo uncovered barriers minority patients face in declining cancer genetics trials. Leonardo is a QuestBridge Match to Princeton to study Economics.
