Leonardo Lopez
Entrepreneurship
Biography
Leonardo Lopez is a sophomore at Princeton University studying Operations Research and Financial Engineering. At Princeton, he has immersed himself in the venture and investing ecosystem through Princeton Student Ventures, where he has served as an Investment Analyst, Investment Principal, and now as Treasurer and Director of Fundraising, supporting the organization's operations and the non-dilutive grants it carefully deploys to student-founded companies on campus. He is also involved with Princeton Impact Capital and BlackGen Capital, exploring how thoughtful capital allocation can drive both financial returns and social impact. His interest in monetary policy led him to Princeton's Federal Reserve Challenge, where he serves on the Research Team. Outside the classroom, Leonardo competes with the Princeton Powerlifting Club, including at the annual Ivy League Cup, and is active within the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. He hopes to leverage finance to pursue the kind of impact his earlier work in health advocacy and cancer genetic counseling research demonstrated was possible. Leonardo was the valedictorian of Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School and a QuestBridge Match to Princeton.
