Katelyn Sulett

Katelyn is currently a senior at Caltech, anticipating graduation in the spring with degrees in biology and geobiology. While at Caltech, she has volunteered her time as the Head Peer Advocate in her residence, planning events for students and being available as a resource if her peers are struggling. She is on the Executive Committee of the Caltech Y, a service organization at Caltech. At the Y, she tutored at-risk youth at the Flintridge Center, helped to organize Make a Difference Day (which connects students with volunteer organizations in the Pasadena area), and organized a Science Policy trip to Washington DC for students. She also volunteered as a Health Care Extender at UCLA Medical Center, receiving the CICARE Service Excellence Award in 2022 for her work there. She also organized an Enrichment trip to Iceland for students in the Geological and Planetary Sciences department at Caltech, allowing students to explore the concepts that they have learned in the classroom in a practical setting. She has also written for the Caltech newspaper. During her other time, Katelyn works as a Medical Scribe at a private practice, where she oversees a remote blood pressure monitoring program. She also works as an usher for special events at Caltech.
