Biography
Joshua Hernandez is a Talent Partner at The General Partnership, a $600M early-stage venture fund co-founded by former Greylock and First Round Capital partners. He leads product and executive recruiting across the portfolio and also splits his time as a venture scout, partnering closely with founders at the earliest stages of company building.
Joshua was previously the founding recruiter at Robinhood, where he built and led executive and product recruiting, seeing the company scale from 30 (Series B) to 6000 employees (post-IPO). He played a key role in scaling the company through hypergrowth, designing and placing leadership teams across both the parent company and its subsidiaries.
In addition to his primary role at the General Partnership, Joshua is the cofounder of All Street, an investment syndicate composed of current and former Robinhood employees, focused on backing the next generation of founders.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Inflection, an IT consulting firm, and Ambulante, a Mexico City–based nonprofit dedicated to documentary film as a tool for social and cultural transformation. His interests span access to opportunity, talent as a lever for company building, and the intersection of community and capital. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard College.
