Jose Luquin

Biography

Jose Luquin is a recent graduate from Stanford University, having majored in Electrical Engineering. He is a first-generation, low-income, Chicano student originally from Los Angles. At Stanford, he performed with and lead Los Salseros de Stanford - Stanford’s only competition Salsa dance team. He also lead US-MEX FoCUS (Forum for Cooperation, Understanding and Solidarity) - an international relations group that hosts conferences for US and Mexico students to come together and collaboratively propose solutions to bilateral policy issues.

Post Stanford, Jose will be joining IBM as a Research Hardware Engineer, after which he plans to return to Stanford to complete a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
