Jessica Amaya-Torres
Biography
Jessica Amaya-Torres, a graduate of Benjamin Banneker High School, is a Gates Scholar and Harvard Book Prize Recipient. She won 1st place in the One World Education Competition for her video on hostile designs affecting the unhoused and was featured by The Washington Post. A member of the French Honor Society, Jessica also led Banneker Interns at the Latin American Youth Center Health Promotions program. Jessica will study biology and public health as a Cummings Scholar at Johns Hopkins University.
