Biography

Hong joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an experimental physicist after receiving his Ph.D. in physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include laser-plasma experiments and fusion energy science, with a focus on advancing the physics and technology needed to connect fundamental research with the emerging field of commercial fusion energy.
