Biography

Favour Akingbemi is a rising fourth-year student at Yale College, studying Mathematics. She currently serves as the Senior Advisor for Yale’s first and only premier step team, Steppin’ Out. She also works at the African American Cultural Center (also known as the House) as a Head Student Assistant. Both on the step team and at the House, Favour serves as a dedicated leader who helps her peers to hone their leadership, professional, and interpersonal skills. She continues to work with community organizations in her hometown, South Los Angeles, and hopes to use her experiences at Yale to continue to give back to her community. Some of her future goals include becoming a lifetime community organizer, working in secondary education, and becoming an attorney.
