Biography
Farwa is a Pakistani Hazara who thrives on building meaningful connections and vibrant communities. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Product Design with a minor in Applied Mathematics at Stanford University, where she is a QuestBridge National College Match Scholar.
Farwa’s early interest in finance led her to intern in the Investment Banking Division at American Express. There, she supported due diligence, prepared pitch materials, and conducted competitive analyses for transactions across consumer and fintech verticals. While the experience sharpened her analytical and research skills, it ultimately made her realize that finance didn’t feel like home. What excited her more than market trends and valuation models was the story behind the numbers—what a product meant to people and how a brand earned trust.
Over time, Farwa found herself drawn toward roles that combined creative storytelling, business strategy, and user experience. She pivoted toward marketing and product design and management, where she could tell meaningful stories for companies and communities through visuals, messaging, and product thinking. She is now actively exploring internship opportunities in marketing, product management, and user-centered design.
At Stanford, Farwa has worked across research, programming, and design. As an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, she explored U.S. asylum policies and migration trends, gaining deep experience in economic analysis and storytelling through data. She also served on the board of Stanford Women in Business, where she coordinated professional development events and fostered a community of mentorship and empowerment.
Farwa’s campus impact extends to the Markaz Resource Center, where she led welcoming events for frosh, hosted community-building Afternoon Chai sessions, and managed the center’s social media presence and $6,500 programming budget. Before that, as Internal Operations Manager for the Stanford Undergraduate Research Association, she oversaw logistics and budgeting for the annual Stanford Research Conference and led mentor-mentee pairings for undergraduate researchers.
With deep roots in community work, Farwa began her journey at the Hazara Resource Center, where she led empowerment initiatives for women in Pakistan and worked with donors and NGOs on impactful development projects. She also held roles in data analysis and finance at TurnUp Activism and the South Asian Council for Social Services, demonstrating an early knack for managing systems and data.
Fluent in Urdu, Dari, Hindi, and English and proficient in Spanish, Farwa brings a global, multilingual perspective to every project. Her multidisciplinary background reflects a clear throughline: a drive to make people feel seen, heard, and connected through design, storytelling, and strategy.
