Eyael Hailmariam

Biography

Eyael Hailmariam, salutatorian of Foshay Learning Center, is a Coca-Cola Scholar Semifinalist and Ron Brown Captain. The Director of Programming for Colors of Coats and President of the Financial Literacy Division for LAUSD Student Voice, Eyael also contributes to Ifeminist - an international research organization popularizing women´s historic feats. As part of Los Angeles Mayor’s Youth Council- South Cohort, she developed a campaign to combat food apartheids by planting community gardens. Eyael will study biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University.
