Emely Cardenas

Biography

Emely Cardenas, valedictorian of Maywood Center for Enriched Studies, is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and recipient of the California Department of Education State Seal of Biliteracy. Team Captain of Academic Decathlon and a decorated decathlete, Emely was also President of the Computer Science Honor Society and Founder of Crochet Club. She volunteered with the Red Cross coordinating free community health screenings and was heavily involved in Roots & Shoots, an environmental global movement. Emely will study Environmental Engineering at Yale.
