Elizabeth Abatan

Biography

Elizabeth Abatan studies molecular and cellular biology at Johns Hopkins and is on her way to become an orthopedic surgeon. At JHU, she serves as Event Chair for the African Students Association. Passionate about health education, Elizabeth was a youth justice counsel at Young Women’s Project and volunteered at Planned Parenthood promoting resources for mental and sexual health. She was salutatorian of McKinley Technology High School, an AP Scholar with Honor, OSSE Scholar, and a recipient of the Award of Excellence from the National Academy of Future Physicians.
