Scholar Profile
David Lee
Biography
David Lee is a Cognitive Science student at Yale studying how the brain forms and stores memories, especially in infants. In the Turk-Browne Lab, he uses brain scans (fMRI) to understand why we can’t remember our earliest years—a phenomenon known as infantile amnesia. He focuses on a brain region called the hippocampus, which plays a key role in memory. Through his volunteer work in a cancer treatment clinic, he’s become interested in how radiation therapy might affect memory and is exploring ways to protect the brain during treatment. David hopes to connect research on memory with real-world medical care to help improve outcomes for patients.
