Biography
Daniel Hong, is a BS/PhD Student in the Biochemistry and Cell Biology (BCB) Program at Rice University. His work focuses on defining how selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors modulate mitochondrial quality control and energy metabolism to influence neuronal vulnerability in neurodegenerative diseases. Daniel also serves as a member of Rice University EMS and volunteers at Ben Taub Hospital, connecting underserved patients to resources.
