Biography
Dana Hua is a full-stack software engineer at Figma on the Workflow team, building sharing and permissions systems for collaboration at scale. She earned her M.Eng in Graphics and Human Computer Interaction from MIT in 2025, after completing her B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2024.
Her academic work includes a master’s thesis with the MIT Visualization Group on eliciting visualization attitudes, as well as a scientific journal paper on emotional regulation through social good reappraisal. During her time at MIT, she also served as a teaching assistant for core computer science courses and as the Web Chair for the Class of 2024 Brass Rat Ring Committee.
Dana’s prior industry experience includes software engineering internships at Figma, Stripe, Amazon, and Microsoft. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, reading, martial arts, and traveling.
