Clarke Dickens
Biography
Clarke Dickens, salutatorian of Capital City Charter High School, is a Harvard Prize Book recipient, Yale Young Global Scholar Alumna , and National Security Language Initiative for Youth Alumna (Arabic). Previously served on DC's State Board of Education Student Advisory Council.
Clarke is majoring in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and Criminology with a minor in Africana studies and Music. A Questbridge scholarship recipient, they have become an advocate on campus helping bridge opportunity gaps through panels on navigating research and study abroad. Clarke serves as a board member of the Undergraduate Advisory Board of the Africana Studies Department at Penn, a co-chair and co-founder of Descendants of Afro Americans at Penn. Clarke is also a member of the Onyx Senior Honor Society. A Critical Language Scholarship recipient for the study of Turkish in 2024. A Washington Urban Debate League National Alumna, Dickens currently volunteers with the league as a judge for local and national tournaments.
