Biography

Brianny Martinez, an AP Scholar with Distinction is a graduate of South Gate High School. She is a QuestBridge Match Recipient, a USC Bovard Scholar and a recipient of the USC Presidential Scholarship. Brianny was the team captain of the JV basketball team, section leader in journalism, and a Science Center Volunteer. She attended a residential Engineering Possibilities in College Program and Camp Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is currently studying civil engineering at Stanford, where she also participated in the Basser Fellows Program over the summer. Brianny has also recently earned a credential as a LEED® Green Associate which denotes extensive knowledge in green building practices. This summer, she has been completing an internship with Shimmick Construction where she is learning from field engineers.
