Biography
Brandon is a rising senior at Yale College from Alhambra, California studying Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry, with a certificate in Data Science. He works at the Sorrells Lab in the Yale School of Medicine building machine learning methods to predict cell-type specific enhancer sequences in mosquitoes. He is currently validating these predictions in vivo. These tools will enable on-target experiment to study the mechanisms that gate mosquito’s attraction to humans. This summer he will be working as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Cech Fellow conducting genetics research at the Jay Shendure Lab at University of Washington.
