Arturo Garcia, Jr.

Biography

Arturo Garcia Jr. is Director of Operations at ICON School Management, a consulting firm dedicated to providing high quality support to charter schools. In his role, he consults with multiple charter school organizations in Southern California, providing valuable insight in finance, operations, and federal compliance. Prior to joining ICON, Arturo held various roles at the Global Education Collaborative. He began as an Intervention Teacher at Global Education Academy, a small charter elementary school in South Los Angeles. Within a couple of years in that role, he was promoted to Business Manager and then to Director of Operations. Arturo graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a B.A. in Communication. He spent seven years with Procter and Gamble (P&G) honing his sales and marketing skills while managing multiple accounts including Albertsons, Smart & Final, Best Buy, and Radio Shack. In 2011, he left P&G to pursue a career in education. When Arturo is not working, you can find him watching sports, reading, or spending time with friends and family.
