Alyssa Toussaint
Biography
Alyssa Toussaint is currently a junior at Yale University pursuing her B.S. in chemistry and certificate in Spanish language and literature. Her interests lie within chemistry research and development in the food, environment and cosmetic industries. These interests have led her to work as lab safety staff in the organic chemistry teaching labs, STEM campus tour guide and research under Paul Anastas and Julie Zimmerman doing organic electrosynthesis and analytical photochemistry. Outside of academics, she currently serves as founder and vice president of the Yale chapter of Girls Who Lead, a member of the Yale University Science and Quantitative Reasoning Student Advisory Committee and Yale Center for Business and the Environment Clean Energy Conference Coordinating Committee. She hopes to pursue a PhD in chemistry and a career in cosmetic formulation.
