Alina Calix-Martinez

Biography

Alina Calix-Martinez, graduate of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, is the Editor-in-Chief of her school’s newspaper, The Wicket, which she used as an outlet for her journalistic passion. She received the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Green L. Leadership Award and the College Board National Hispanic Recognition. Additionally, she served as Model UN Secretariat Leader. A multilingual entrepreneur, Alina founded a dog walking service and Mirrorball Slimes, which has sold over 350 products. A QuestBridge Match to Brown, Alina will study Philosophy.
