Biography

After graduating from North Carolina Central University, Tulani worked as a CPA for three years at Ernst & Young LLP's in the Audit and Advisory Business Services group and one year as a senior account manager for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s publishing and television divisions. Tulani returned to graduate school and obtained a dual J.D./M.B.A. degree in May 2006 from Duke University School of Law and Fuqua School of Business. Upon graduation, she worked at Clifford Chance for four years in the M&A and Securities group. In 2011, Tulani combined her many years of corporate experience with her passion for family, writing and green living to launch her company TuTu’s Green World LLC (“TGW”), whose mission is to influence the younger generation to live eco-friendly. TGW began spreading its green message through its first published children’s book, TuTu Goes Green, which was nationally distributed with Barnes & Noble and currently with Amazon.com. TGW also promotes green living through its website, www.tutusgreenworld.com an online green resource consisting of a blog, monthly newsletter, green crafts, children environmentalist highlights as well as TuTu green products. TGW is currently set to release its next title in the TuTu’s green book series in late 2022 and is in development to produce a children’s animation series around the TuTu character. Tulani is on a mission to educate children that their small acts make big impacts on our environment.
