Will applications be accepted after the February 1, 2013 (N.Y.C.) & February 8, 2013 (L.A.) deadlines? |

No, all application materials must be postmarked or submitted online by the application deadline. |

Can I check on the status of my application? |
 |
All students who are nominated will be emailed a username and password to log onto their application online. Once they are logged in, they will be able to fill out their application, save progress, continue their application before final submission, and check the status of all application elements. As we receive each completed application element, their application status page will be updated accordingly. Applicants who have been selected as finalists will be notified in early April 2013. |

How many students are selected for the Program? |

We expect to select between 10 and 20 new Milken Scholars this year. |

What is the minimum GPA/Test score required? |
 |
In order to be sent an application, students must have attained at least a 3.6 GPA (unweighted) and a minimum composite SAT I Reasoning score of 1850 with results submitted for Critical Reading, Math, and Writing, or a minimum ACT score of 28. The SAT I Score can be a combination of scores from multiple test settings. |

Do I have to send official transcripts? |

No, transcripts may be unofficial. However, if you are selected as a Milken Scholar we will require that you submit a set of official transcripts at a later date. |

What if I retake the SAT I and receive a higher score than my counselor reported to you on the nomination form? |

Fax or mail us a copy of your new score report so that we can update your application. |

May I report the best SAT scores from more than one sitting? |
 |
Yes, you may submit verbal, math and writing scores from different test dates. |

Who should write my letters of recommendation? |
 |
Two letters of recommendation are required to complete your Milken Scholars application. One letter must be from a teacher or advisor. The second letter may be from any adult who knows you well but is not a member of your family; it may also be from a teacher or advisor. |
